Robert Wallace Armstrong Jr.'s Bio:

Robert Wallace Armstrong Jr. graduated from the University of Chicago School of Law in 2013 after receiving a Master’s Degree in Leadership Studies in 2010 and a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Communication with a Minor in Legal Reasoning in 2009 from the University of Texas at El Paso. He was admitted to the Texas bar in 2014. Prior to joining Reina & Bates, Mr. Armstrong spent more than two years providing legal services and representation to unaccompanied minors in removal proceedings. In 2011 he served as a child advocate in the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights while in law school and moved to the Rio Grande Valley of Texas after graduating in 2013 and accepting a Public Service Initiative fellowship. While in the Valley, he worked at the American Bar Association's South Texas Pro Bono Asylum Representation Project where he helped vulnerable unaccompanied children gain legal status in the U.S. In 2014, Mr. Armstrong was selected as one of the first Justice Americorps attorney fellows. He worked at Catholic Charities of Dallas where he continued to serve unaccompanied children by providing in court representation and seeking Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, Asylum, U-Visa and other victim based relief thrugh U.S.C.I.S. Robert's interest in working with unaccompanied minor immigrants is rooted in his history as a long-time resident of the El Paso-Juarez borderplex and his own experience as a Panamanian American. He is natively fluent in Spanish and speaks fluent Portuguese and conversational German.
